Skin boosters: three paths that fill in different ways

Hello.
Butler Plastic Surgery Clinic (specialty: plastic surgery)
I am Yun Taebin, director.

Look into booster treatments and it is easy to get lost in a forest of names.
Today I will clear the product names away and arrange them by three underlying principles.

When a booster is needed

There are times when makeup sits unevenly, texture roughens and the skin feels thinner.
Haven't you felt that topical care is slow at such times?
A booster treatment delivers ingredients directly inside the skin for exactly those times.
What is delivered divides them into three. The names differ, but once you know the principle a map appears.

First: filling it in

The skin booster class. Hyaluronic acid or regenerative ingredients are delivered directly into the dermis, raising hydration and texture.
If dryness, fine lines and a dull texture are the concern, we look at this path first. The effect is felt relatively quickly, but lasts a relatively short time.

Second: growing it yourself

The collagen booster class. Biodegradable microparticles stimulate fibroblasts so that your own skin produces collagen.
Because it grows rather than fills, the change appears gradually and tends to last accordingly. It is considered when lost volume and firmness are the concern.

Third: rebuilding the structure

The ECM booster class. It supplies the extracellular matrix — the structural component of human skin — directly, refilling the framework of skin that has thinned and given way.
It is for those who feel their skin has thinned overall and lost density.

What to choose is the assessment's part

The three paths differ in role, not in rank.
Whether what your skin lacks now is moisture, collagen or structure itself — the assessment that tells them apart matters more than knowing product names.
Depending on the case, the paths may be combined in sequence.

If you have already chosen a product

Many people come having settled on a particular product. Sometimes that product is indeed right.
But we assess first and proceed only after confirming that the product matches your skin's present problem. If we judge that it does not, we explain why and may recommend a different path.
Because the standard should be your skin, not the trend.

What to know before the procedure

As an injectable procedure, redness, papules, swelling and bruising may last a few days.
The degree and duration of the effect vary between individuals, and most of these build over several sessions rather than one. Keeping to the recommended interval is part of the result.
